Immediate Conversations 1 is a textbook / workbook aimed at Japanese JHS students (complete beginner to false beginner level). Its focused purpose is to get students to practice real-time, two-way conversations within the classroom.

We spent a long time working on Immediate Conversations 1 and its Teacher’s kit, to make sure that they would work efficiently in the junior high school context. We believe that having successful experiences of real conversation at the early stages of English learning is very important for students’ future success. We focused the material so that this textbook provides them with exactly what they need: simple linguistic material that is immediately applicable in a conversation, and some basic pragmatic advice on how to conduct a conversation in English.

1st grade JHS students who have basic reading skills
2nd and 3rd grade JHS students who haven’t had conversation practice.

What is unique about it?
