Lesson plan 1 : First class with CiC and the Immediate Method

Welcome to the first issue of the CiC e-zine.
This post is a possible lesson plan for the first class of the semester.

Stephen, how do you go about the first class ?
SR : First, I greet students and tell them that they are going to watch a video that explains how this class will be run. At 9 :05, I turn on the video and 13 minutes later the students have a good idea of what the Immediate Method is.

What happens at 9 :18 ?
SR : I then want my students to experience all the fundamental elements of the IM during this first class, which will set the tone for the whole semester. I immediately set forth to do so.
